stop a program at Startup

from our previous post, the issue of the irritating Messenger starting up all the time to the many programs starting up that you would just wish dont because you don’t need it to. making these changes will obviously speed up your system. to do this you simply:

  1. Start -> Run -> type ‘msconfig’ ( it will open the ‘System configuration utility’ )
  2. navigate to the ‘Services’ tab to disable the starting of any services that you dont want an
  3. navigate to the ‘Startup’ tab to disable the starting of any startup programs that you dont want starting
  4. Click on ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’
  5. Changes will take place after you restart
